For a romantic summer evening, this drink is all seduction and sophistication. Start by putting two old-fashioned champagne coupes in the freezer.
• 2 ounces Dzama Classic Cuvée Noire.
• 2 ounces peach schnapps.
• 2 ounces sweet vermouth (Martini & Rossi is a good choice).
• 3 ounces pineapple juice. Put one ounce aside for sugar rim.
• 2 stars anise.
• Sugar.
Combine liquids. Chill well. Remove champagne coupes from freezer. Dip your finger in the pineapple juice that was set aside, and pass around the rim of each glass. Then coat the rims by dipping them in sugar. Pour chilled cocktail in each glass. Place a star anise in the center of each drink. It’s the perfect way to chill before things start to get hot.
